WICB mourns passing of Barbados PM Hon. David Thompson

St John's, Antigua - The West Indies Cricket Board on Saturday expressed deepest sympathies to the Government and people of Barbados on the passing of Prime Minister, the Honourable David John Howard Thompson.

Barbados and Leewards comfident ahead of WICB 50 Over final

Kingston, Jamaica – After 10 days of enthralling cricket we have reached the grand climax and on Sunday, Barbados and the Leeward Islands will come head-to-head in the final of the WICB Regional 50 Over Tournament at Sabina Park. First ball is 9 am (10 am Eastern Caribbean Time). Barbados have played unbeaten so far and will be looking to maintain that record. The Leewards have done the hard work to reach the final and will be looking for revenge against the Bajans who beat then in the opening match.

Semi Final 2 moved to Sabina Park

Kingston, Jamaica - The West Indies Cricket Board announces that Semi Final 2 of the WICB Regional 50 Over Tournament - Barbados v Jamaica - which was scheduled to be played at the Trelawny Multi Purpose Stadium tomorrow, October 22, has been moved to Sabina Park.

The change was made after an assessment of the weather forecast of torrential rain and flood conditions as a result of Tropical Storm Richard which is expected to affect the north western part of Jamaica where Trelawny is located.

Rain saves Bajans against Sagicor HPC

Falmouth, Jamiaca – Barbados escaped with a no result after rain which thrice interrupted play had the final say at the Trelawny Multi Purpose Stadium in their match against the feisty Sagicor High Performance Centre Team.

Sagicor HPC scored a patient 154 for 5 from 40 overs when rain stopped their innings. Despite one attempt to restart, the innings was ended and Barbados were asked to score 148 to win in 25 overs by way of the Duckworth Lewis formula.
