Gordon Greenidge set to return to T&T

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad – Gordon Greenidge, the former Barbados and West Indies opening batsman, who also served as a West Indies chief selector, has been again contracted by the Trinidad & Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) as a coach.

Guillen slams 57 as Barbados T20 opens

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Justin Guillen, the Trinidad & Tobago and West Indies ‘A’ opening batsman, hit a brisk half-century for his adopted Barbados club CounterPoint Wanderers, who brought off a thrilling one-run win off the very last ball against LIME in the opening round of the Barbados Cricket Association Sagicor General Twenty20 tournament on Saturday.

Jamaican Michael Muirhead appointed new WICB CEO

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board today announced that accomplished management consultant Michael Muirhead has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of the regional governing body.

The Board of Directors approved Mr. Muirhead’s appointment at a meeting in Barbados at the weekend. Mr. Muirhead’s appointment is for three years.

WICB thanks Dr Hilaire for service

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board at a meeting of the Board of Directors at the weekend formally thanked the departing Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ernest Hilaire for his service to West Indies cricket.

Dr. Hilaire, after serving the full term of his thee year contract, is preparing to demit office at the end of September.

Young Bajans win Festival in St Kitts

BASSETERRE, St Kitts, CMC - Barbados continue to stamp their dominance by retaining, yet again, their title as champions of the St.Kitts Under-13 Cricket Festival after a comfortable 40 run win over Nevis in the final round of matches on Monday.

It is the fifth straight year in a row and the ninth out of ten times that Barbados have won the six-island competition.
