Atlantic Primary Schools Cricket celebrates 10 years

Port of Spain, Trinidad - The Atlantic National Primary Schools’ Cricket League will be celebrating its 10th anniversary today at the Hilton Ballroom, Hilton Trinidad Hotel and Conference Centre, St Ann’s.

The League, which is a partnership between Atlantic, the Ministry of Education and the National Primary Schools Cricket Board, has been nurturing and helping to develop the talent of young cricketers across Trinidad and Tobago. 

In celebration of this 10 year anniversary, Atlantic and the National Primary Schools Cricket Board will acknowledge the league’s outstanding cricketers for 2013, as well as players who have benefitted from participating in the league over the past 10 years and who have advanced to play the game both domestically and regionally. 

Expected to attend today are Minister of Education, Dr Tim Gopeesingh; Minister of Sport, Anil Roberts; Atlantic’s Sports Ambassadors and cricketers, Merissa Aguilleira, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine; Olympic medallist, World Championship swimmer and Atlantic Sports Ambassador, George Bovell III as well as Olympic sailor and Atlantic Sports Ambassador Andrew Lewis.
