Amazing Anisa wins it for Windies

Dhaka, Bangladesh -- West Indies Women defeated Pakistan Women by 130 runs to win the Final of the International Cricket Council’s Women’s World Cup 2013 qualification tournament on Saturday.

West Indies made 250-5 off their 50 overs and then bowled out Pakistan for 120 off 37.3 overs before a large crowd at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Off-spinner Anisa Mohammed was the star of the match. The 23-year-old from Trinidad took an amazing seven wickets for 14 runs off 8.3 overs to bowl out the Pakistanis as the last five wickets fell for just four runs. He figures were the best ever in the history of West Indies women’s cricket.

Earlier in the match, power-hitter Deandra Dottin smashed a West Indies record of seven sixes in an innings as she made 95 off 84 balls. The right-hander from Barbados dominated after Juliana Nero made 63 off 98 balls at the top of the order.

With the victory West Indies moved up to Number 5 in the International Cricket Council’s One-Day International Team Rankings.
