2nd Women's T20 International abandoned
Invercargill, New Zealand - Rain forced an early abandonment of the 2nd Twenty20 International between West Indies Women and New Zealand's White Ferns.
There was a delayed start in Invercargill due to a ground delay but once that was overcome, only two overs could be bowled in the match.
New Zealand's White Ferns won the toss and elected to field first. West Indies Women lost opener Natasha McLean run out after just eight balls.
However, by the end of the second over, the rain was returning, and so the Umpires decided to take the ladies off. It never stopped in time for their to be a match and so New Zealand keep their one-nil lead in the five-match Twenty20 International series intact with three more matches to play.
The 3rd Twenty20 International starts on Tuesday night from 11pm Eastern Caribbean Time (10pm Jamaica Time).
