CWI TICKET TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Application of Conditions

1.1 This ticket is sold subject to the Terms and Conditions set out below and those on display at CWI ticket offices and on the CWI website. The Ticket Holder shall be deemed to have agreed to all of the Conditions to which this Ticket is subject.

1.2 Any person who makes use of, purchases or holds this Ticket (“the Ticket Holder”) shall be deemed to have agreed to all of the Conditions to which this Ticket is subject. The Ticket Holder, in agreeing to these Conditions, also agrees to be bound by the CWI Refund Policy. The Ticket Holder must read these conditions and the CWI Refund Policy carefully and should not make payment for, purchase, hold or use the ticket or enter (or attempt to enter) the venue if they do not understand and agree with these conditions and the CWI ticket Refund Policy. For the purposes of these conditions, “making use of” the ticket shall include accepting the Ticket from a person, presenting the Ticket to personnel outside the stadium, presenting the Ticket for entry to the stadium; offering or receiving the Ticket as a prize in a Lottery or competition or via any other promotional means.

1.3 In allowing the Ticket Holder entry to the Venue, CWI relies on the Ticket Holder’s acceptance of and agreement to these Conditions. The Ticket and entry to the Venue are issued strictly subject to these Conditions, no matter how the Ticket is purchased, obtained or used.

1.4. Any Ticket offered for sale, sold, transferred, used or disposed of other than in accordance with these Conditions may be cancelled by CWI without notice and any Ticket Holder seeking to use the Ticket may be refused admission to or evicted from the Venue by any Authorised Person without refund or compensation, and must deliver up any and all Tickets in their possession at the request of an Authorised Person. Further, CWI may pursue any other legal remedies available to each of them in relation to the breach.

  1. Ticket Purchase

2.1. Tickets may only be purchased through the official ticketing agent appointed by CWI or an authorised agent appointed by CWI (“Official Agent”) or through any other sale or transfer mechanism authorised in writing by or on behalf of CWI. No Ticket sold by any individual, organisation or other third party who is not an Official Agent shall be valid.

2.2. CWI will not refund tickets except where a match is cancelled or where weather causes a match to be abandoned without an official result being achieved or other scenarios highlighted in the CWI’s Full Refund Policy. CLICK HERE FOR CWI'S FULL REFUND POLICY.

2.3. CWI reserves the right not to replace or accept any Ticket that has been lost, stolen, forgotten, damaged or forged, or any Ticket which is unreadable or incomplete.

2.4. CWI reserves the right to limit the number of tickets that may be purchased by any person. Limits may be set at the time of purchase and CWI reserves the right to adjust any such limits from time to time in their sole discretion.

2.5. The Ticket will be valid until the Match has been completed or is reasonably deemed by IBC to have been completed. The Ticket may not be exchanged or used for any Match other than as indicated thereon.

  1. Entry and Requirements

3.1. Admission to the Venue will only be authorised upon presentation of a valid Ticket, in whole form and not defaced or damaged in any way.

3.2. The right of admission is reserved at the reasonable discretion of CWI. Where admission is refused, or the Ticket Holder is evicted from the Venue and/or demarcated areas for a breach of these Conditions, a refund shall be paid only at the reasonable discretion of CWI.

3.3. CWI reserves the right to search the Ticket Holder (including a search of his/her bags, clothes or other possessions) prior to entry into the stadium. Should the Ticket Holder refuse to be searched, CWI reserves the right to refuse admission or eject him/her from the stadium without a refund.

3.4. If the Ticket Holder leaves the stadium, CWI reserves the right to refuse re-entry to the event.

  1. Restrictions on Transfers and Resale.

4.1. Any transfer of a ticket to another person (“Guest”) must be made strictly subject to these Conditions) which shall be binding upon the Guest.

4.2. The Ticket Holder shall not:

  • 4.2.1. Use, offer or apply the Ticket in an unauthorized manner as a prize or in any other manner in a lottery or competition or for any other promotional, advertising or commercial purpose;
  • 4.2.2. Sell, donate, wager, gamble transfer or in any way dispose of the Ticket to any person/entity for the purpose of commercial gain at a higher price than its face value;
  • 4.2.3. Purchase or obtain the Ticket from a person/entity who is not an authorized agent

For the purpose of these conditions, “commercial gain” includes, without limitation, the receipt or accrual of any benefit (whether financial, in kind or otherwise) obtained as a result of any sale, donation, transfer or disposal of the Ticket. The unauthorized use of the Ticket either alone or as part of a package of other services or products, the offer for sale, sale, donation, transfer or accommodation, hospitality; meal or beverage; any form of entertainment and/or any product, service or merchandise shall be considered to be for the purposes of commercial gain. Any breach of this condition shall render the Ticket void and the Ticket Holder shall lose the right to enter the Venue. The ticket may not be used for or in connection with any form of commercial or trade purposes including, but not limited to, any advertising, promotions, contests, sweepstakes, giveaways, gambling or gaming activities, without the express written consent of CWI Management.

  1. Prohibited and Restricted Behaviour and Items.

5.1. CWI reserves the right to refuse admission or eject from the Venue any Ticket Holder who, in the reasonable opinion of CWI:

5.1.1. does not produce a valid Ticket upon request;

5.1.2. is in breach of these conditions;

5.1.3. has previously engaged in or is found to be engaged in behaviour which is detrimental to the integrity of cricket and/or which brings or has the potential to bring into disrepute the Event, the CWI and/or the sport of cricket;

5.1.4. is the subject of a Venue and/or Event banning order and/or has been prohibited by any competent authority and/or sports governing body from entry to that Venue or a particular Match, any other sporting event or venue worldwide or cricket matches or sports events more generally;

5.1.5. may unreasonably obstruct the viewing of other spectators;

5.1.6. may be a source of danger, nuisance or annoyance or who may otherwise give rise to concerns in relation to the safety and security arrangements for the Match or who is behaving in any way that is or could reasonably be construed as provocative, discriminatory, offensive, indecent or threatening (whether to the life or safety of themselves or any other person(s)), including but not limited to:

  • (i) public nudity or indecency;
  • (ii) excessive noise or any interference with the conduct of the Match;
  • (iii) the wearing or other display of commercial, political or offensive signage or logos;
  • (iv) the throwing of any object that might injure or cause damage to people or property;
  • (v) the obstruction of any gangway, access-way, exit, entrance or staircase;
  • (vi) climbing roofs, walls, fences, stands, lighting masts or any other structures or constructions in the Venue or standing on seats;
  • (vii) defacing or obscuring any notice, advertisement, branding or signage;
  • (viii) smoking in any area where smoking is not permitted; and/or
  • (ix) engaging in any conduct (whether through the use of language, gestures or otherwise) which is likely to offend, insult, humiliate, intimidate, threaten, disparage or vilify any reasonable person (including, without limitation, any player, match official, Authorised Person or other spectator) on the basis of their race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, culture, marital status, colour, descent, pregnancy/maternity status, nationality or ethnic origin;

5.1.7. Fails to comply with instructions from a police officer or security officer;

5.1.8. is noticeably under the influence of alcohol, illicit drugs or any behaviour-modifying substance;

5.1.9. is suspected of committing, or having committed, or being likely to commit, a criminal offence in or about the Venue;

5.1.10. whilst within any Venue, enters any restricted access or prohibited area or other area where that person is not permitted, including but not limited to:

  • (i) the playing field, any dressing rooms, practice areas or other players’ or officials’ areas;
  • (ii) any area for which accreditation is required or which is designated as an area to which members of the public are not entitled access; and/or
  • (iii) any stands or seats for which the Ticket Holder does not have a valid Ticket

5.1.11. damages, interferes with or tampers with any property of any third party; and/or

5.1.12. Is in the possession of (i) any article that may be used or may be expected to be used as a weapon, or missile or that is deemed or considered by CWI to be dangerous (which includes any firearm, knife, explosive, firework, flare, incendiary device, mace, or any bottle (excluding perfume bottles), glass, can or tin); (ii) any other objects or items which may be deemed by CWI to be offensive, disruptive, dangerous, prohibited or likely to infringe any party’s rights or any party’s safety or security.

5.2. Prohibited Items may be removed, confiscated and/or destroyed at the discretion of CWI and/or any Authorised Person and without obligation to return such items to the Ticket Holder or to compensate the Ticket Holder in respect thereof. Police may be informed where searches reveal Prohibited Items the possession of which CWI and/or any Authorised Person believe may constitute a criminal offence.

5.3. The Ticket Holder shall not engage in any form of ambush marketing and shall not conduct any activity that conflicts with, impairs, infringes or denigrates the rights of the Series sponsors. The Ticket Holder shall not be entitled in or around the Venue to conduct, carry out or cause to be conducted or carried out (i) unauthorized promotions, any advertising or marketing; or (ii) any unauthorized use of the Ticket as a prize in a lottery or competition or any other promotional, advertising or commercial purpose and/or an intentional activity by a person not authorized by CWI which (i) associates the person with the Series (ii) exploits the publicity or the goodwill of the Series (iii) has the effect (in reasonable opinion of CWI) of diminishing the status of the Series sponsors or conferring on another person the status of the Series sponsor.

5.4. The Ticket Holder shall not in the stadium (i) offer any goods or services (including, without limitation, newspapers, periodicals, drinks or food) for sale or (ii) distribute or give away or attempt to distribute or give away any free items or any political, religious, charitable, commercial, advertising or promotional material or other documents without the approval of CWI.

5.5. The purchase, possession and consumption of alcohol is subject to the Venue Regulations and is permitted only in the bars or other authorised areas in the Venue during hours determined by Authorised Persons, who may close or restrict entry into any such bars or authorised areas at any time.

5.6. The Ticket Holder shall only be entitled to bring in 1 x bag/carrier/rucksack/ cooler no larger than 400x300x300 mm (15.7” by 11.8” by 11.8”) which must be able to fit under the seat. Prohibited items include glassware such as bottles, knives, metal cutlery, and sidearms. CWI reserves the right to inspect every cooler and to confiscate prohibited items.

5.7. Mobile telephones and other mobile devices are permitted within the Ground, provided that they are used for personal and private use only. The Ticket Holder shall not, except for personal non-commercial purposes, make or use, broadcast, narrowcast, telecast, transmit, publish, disseminate, reproduce or circulate by any means (including without limitation, utilizing television, radio, satellite, the internet or any wireless service), any recordings, audio, video, photograph, text, data, images, statistics, results, commentary or any other information relating to the Match. All copyright of any of the aforementioned materials is acknowledged as belonging to CWI. In the event of a breach of these ground regulations, visitors may be refused access to or removed from the venue.

5.8. The Ticket Holder acknowledges that they are individually responsible for their own property brought to and into the Venue (including Prohibited Items) and that there is no storage available at the Venue for any such items. CWI shall not be liable for theft, loss or damage of any property of the Ticket Holder.

5.9. Should a Ticket Holder be refused entry to or ejected from the Venue pursuant to these Conditions, all further rights of entry or readmission to the Venue may be refused and CWI shall be entitled, at its discretion, to cancel any other Tickets held by the Ticket Holder for any Match and to deny entry to the Ticket Holder to any other Venue, in each case without obligation to compensate the Ticket Holder in respect thereof.

  1. Lost or Stolen Ticket

CWI is not responsible for lost, stolen or duplicated tickets and shall not be obligated to replace any ticket that is lost, stolen or may have been duplicated.

  1. Betting Prohibition

7.1. The collection and/or transmission and/or production and/or dissemination of any information or data regarding match developments, conduct or any other factor in any game, or any kind of recording of any audio, video or audio-visual material in any game (whether by use of electronic devices or otherwise) for the purposes of any form of betting, gambling or commercial activities that have not been authorised in advance or for any other purposes that violate these terms and conditions, is strictly forbidden at the Venue, except where authorisation or permission is expressly granted by the CWI. Mobile phones may only be used for personal, private use. In the event of a breach of these terms and conditions, the Ticket Holder may be refused access to or removed from the venue.

7.2. The Ticket Holder shall not, whilst in the Venue, offer to any third party any bribe or other reward to fix or to contrive in any way or otherwise improperly influence the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of any Match.

  1. Intellectual Property Rights 

8.1. The Ticket Holder agrees that by entering the venue and/or causing the ticket to be scanned or the ticket stub to be detached upon entry to the event/venue/match, the Ticket Holder shall be deemed to have granted CWI an exclusive worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, sub-licensable, royalty-free license to all rights associated with the Match, or related events including broadcast streaming and highlights, and, to the extent permitted by law, the Descriptive Data (Descriptive data = any description or account in any form (whether text, data or visual, and including, without limitation, play-by-play data) of the Event or related events.

8.2. The Ticket Holder consents without compensation to the recording of their voice, image and likeness captured by any means (including, without limitation, audio, visual and audio-visual recordings by television cameras and photographers) whilst present at or about the Venue.

8.3. The Ticket Holder also grants irrevocable permission to CWI and their respective sponsors, licensees, advertisers, broadcasters, partners and agents to use, publish, distribute, edit, modify and/or alter Ticket Holder's image, likeness, voice, actions and statements in any medium including, without limitation, any audio, video, film, photographs, social media, exhibition, transmission, publication or reproduction of the Event for any purpose without further authorization or compensation, and waives all claims and potential claims relating to such use unless prohibited by law.
If you are under 15 years of age either the parent, guardian or responsible adult who is accompanying you into the Venue shall be deemed to have provided consent on your behalf.

8.4. The Ticket Holder acknowledges and agrees that CWI is the sole legal and beneficial owner of the copyright and any other intellectual property rights of any nature whatsoever in and to any recordings of sound made or images taken within the Venue including future rights to such recordings or any works derived from such recordings.

  1. Waiver & Indemnity

9.1. Each Ticket Holder admitted to the Venue acknowledges that their presence and/or movement in and around the Venue is at their own risk and that, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable local law, neither CWI nor any of the Official Ticketing Agents nor any of the Authorised Agents nor any Authorised Persons are liable for any loss, damage and/or harm, including (without limitation) bodily or mental harm, personal property damage or any loss, loss of profit, business or opportunity, indirect or consequential loss, special damages or any other loss and/or harm howsoever arising from any Match and/or the Event (including, without limitation, arising as a result of the cancellation, postponement or limitation, arising as a result of the cancellation, postponement or relocation of the same in each case) and/or occurring during their attendance at the Venue and, without limitation to the foregoing, each Ticket Holder agrees that no claim, complaint or proceeding will be brought in relation to the foregoing.

9.2. The Ticket Holder voluntarily assumes all risks, hazards and dangers incident to the Event and related events, including the risk of personal injury (including death), the risk of exposure to communicable diseases, viruses, bacteria or illnesses or the causes thereof, sickness, or lost, stolen or damaged property, whether occurring before, during, or after the Event, however caused, and hereby waives all claims and potential claims relating to such risks, hazards and dangers. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 or other airborne viruses exists in any public place where people are present. Where people are present, COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the World Health Organisation, senior citizens and those with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By entering stadium property, the Ticket Holder voluntarily assumes all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 or other airborne viruses.

9.3. Each Ticket Holder shall indemnify and hold CWI, the Official Ticketing Agents, the Authorised Agents and all Authorised Persons harmless from and against all loss, damages and liabilities, including (without limitation) bodily or mental harm, personal property damage or loss, loss of profit, business or opportunity, indirect or consequential loss, special damages or any other loss and/or harm howsoever arising (including but not limited to the costs of enforcement or attempted enforcement of these conditions), suffered or incurred by any of them in connection with, resulting from, or arising out of, a breach by the Ticket Holder of any of these Conditions.

9.4. By using this ticket or by attending, observing or participating in the Event, the Ticket Holder, on behalf of himself/herself and any accompanying minor(s), acknowledges and assumes all risks and dangers associated with the Ticket Holder and/or accompanying minor(s): (a) being a spectator before, during, and after a cricket game (including all warm-ups, practices, pre-game, post-game, and between-inning activities, promotions, and competitions); and (b) attending, observing, or participating in the Event, in each case, whether any such risk or danger occurs prior to, during or subsequent thereto, including specifically (but not exclusively) the danger of being injured by thrown bats; bat fragments; thrown or batted balls; thrown, dropped, or launched items; projectiles; persons; animals; other hazards or distractions; and any incidents or accidents associated with crowds of people or the negligence or misconduct of other spectators.
